Smokers tend to ignore their basic expenses thus giving preference to expenditure on cig arttes. To curb this blow up problem, certain nations have increased taxes on cigarettes. This increased the prices of the cigarettes making it unaffordable to smokers. This has led to an increase in pass on cigarette smoking as the smokers continue to smoke the same number of cigarettes in a day.Cigarettes smoking increased the risk of heart attacks and lung cancers. The tar in the tobacco coats the lungs forming soot that eventually lead to development of lung cancer. Heart attacks are associated with the increase in the rate of the heart rate which strains the heart and the prodigal vessels (Graves, 34). This thus has a profound effect on the heart which may lead to heart attacks.
